Get Fit Fennimore 2012!
Get Fit Fennimore 2012 will kick off with a Health and Wellness Fair Saturday, January 14, 2012. The Health and Wellness Fair will be held at the Fennimore High School (510 7th Street) from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. During the Health and Wellness Fair representatives from Get Fit Fennimore will have an area for participants to officially sign up and weigh in. For those who are unable to attend the Health and Wellness Fair participants may sign up at Fennimore Fitness between Jan 11 - 13, 2012.
Please notice some changes in the Chamber's 4th Annual Get Fit Fennimore competition for Get Fit 2012. One of the major changes is 10 weekly weigh-in sessions which also offer Get Fit participants the opportunity to take part in special nutritional and exercise sessions planned to assist participants during their journey to a more healthy life style and long-term weight loss.
The cost to participate in Get Fit Fennimore 2012 is just $20 which includes 10 weekly group education classes held every Wednesday; sessions are valued at $100. Weekly sessions will be held at the Fennimore Memorial building starting Jan 18 and will run through March 21. Each Wednesday Chris Swan, Registered Dietitian, will lead weight control sessions from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.; followed by group exercise led by staff from Fennimore Fitness from 6:30 to 7 p.m.
Weigh-in takes place every Wednesday at the Fennimore Memorial building between 5 to 7 p.m. or anytime at Fennimore Fitness or by special arrangement with Get Fit chairperson Brent Sheckler 608-822-4066. The deadline to qualify for weekly prizes is 8 p.m. each Wednesday (see the rules and regulations). The final Get Fit Fennimore weigh in will be held Wednesday, March 28 at which time Fennimore's Biggest Loser will be crowned.
